Job Hopping Sells Upside, Tenure Sells Certainty

Out of 3 interviews last week… only 1 offer today.
Be ready to get annoyed.
Spoke to 3 AEs last week... Same OTE and same market.
🔵 One on their 3rd company in 3 years
🔵 One just over a year into role two
🔵 One with 3+ years at the same company
All got the interview but only one got the offer.
Here’s the part people won’t like:
The “best talker” didn’t win.
The “most ambitious” didn’t win.
The one who stayed did.
Because they could prove something the others couldn’t: they’ve seen a deal all the way through, more than once, over time.
No inherited pipeline, no handed-down accounts, and more than just a good interview.
Actually built it. Closed it. Repeated it.
Job hopping sells upside but tenure sells certainty. And right now, most hiring managers are buying certainty.
So which are you really betting on right now… upside or evidence?
